Zigzag Town Lodge is located in Livingstone town, just off the main road that runs the length of the town. Livingstone is the tourism capital of Zambia and the lodge is only 7km from the spectacular Victoria Falls.
Livingstone is a small, safe, friendly town with shops and amenities, medical facilities and a variety of schools. There are direct air links to Johannesburg, Nelspruit, Cape Town, Lusaka, and Nairobi as well as bus links to Johannesburg, Windhoek and other major towns and cities in Zambia. It is 8km from the Zimbabwe border, 65km from the Botswana border and 200km from the Namibian border.
Victoria Falls is No. 6 in CNN’s 2018 list of the top 25 places to visit in Africa – it is the world’s largest waterfall (by flow, width and height combined), one of the seven natural wonders of the world, and is an enduring tourist attraction.
Zigzag is situated on a 1.6 acre plot which is surrounded on 3 sides by a wall fence and on the 4th by a wire fence which backs onto buildings. The property is connected to mains electricity and has a back up generator of 30kva and storage batteries that can power lighting of the property for 2-3 hours.
The property has its own borehole which supplies water for general use, as well as a dedicated mains water supply with 3 filters for the coffee machine. There are 12 accommodation rooms set out in motel style, landscaped garden area, a 60,000l swimming pool, children’s play area, restaurant with well-equipped kitchen, public toilets and a braai area behind the restaurant. There is basic accommodation for a manager, staff toilets and showers, a laundry room and parking space for 10 or more cars. Large vehicles and trailers are also able to be accommodated.
Each room in the hotel has ensuite toilet and shower, air conditioning, 1, 2 or 3 beds and a clothes holder or shelving. The sale includes all hotel linen, towels, and sundries.
The maximum capacity of the hotel is 25 people.
